Tell me, am I right to think that there could be nothing better,
than making you my bride and slowly growing old together?

Guided By Voices “motor away”
Unlike Pavement (who fucking sucked live. It’s true.), GBV shows were always a drunken good time…and so when I heard they were getting back together to pay some bills I should’ve gotten excited…but sadly I’ve reached that point in my life where I no longer want to go out of my way to see shows…also I’m currently broke. Anyways if you haven’t ever seen them then I suggest you do that, cuz they rule. Plus watching any band drink that much beer is sort of impressive.
Seeing them in November. Can’t fucking wait!

Their new album, Transit Transit, will be out on August 3rd! It only took them 6 years. Yeesh.
I dig this song a lot. A little different from what we’ve heard from their other stuff.

In honor of receiving another royalty check (albeit a small one), here’s an Hourly Radio track that was demoed but never released proper. It’s titled “Burning Bright”
Hourly Radio was one of my favorite local bands when I lived in Texas.
My submission for the Summer Mix Series; a compilation of laid back / somewhat atmospheric tunes for warm Summer Nights.
